This is a really nice hacksaw set. And that's the reason I purchased it :) I had to cut a piece of pvc under the sink and I needed something smaller and this worked great. It's great for those times where a full size hacksaw just doesn't cut it (pun intended) due to it's size. I can see this being a great saw for hobbyist, smaller spaces as mentioned or where you want a more controlled cut for smaller pieces, like quarter rounds, which will be my next project in the bathroom as they need to be replaced.
I love that the blades are held in place by magnets. It's nice to open the case and have everything in the same place it was when you closed it last :)
Overall this is a really nice set for any home owner.
Well as a small hobby saw what doesn't this little guy do?
It has regular wood/metal blades, a glass and tile blade, sharpener blade and a pruning/large wood blade. Also a glass cutter in the front plus a couple tile drills as they call them.
Everything fits nicely in the case. The smaller blades are held in with magnets as opposed to wedging them into plastic clips (which is how the rest of the accessories are held in)
The only item without a specific spot in the case is the Y-bolt that holds in the larger saw blade. It kinda just rolls around inside.
I sawed through some Oak molding and it went right through it.
This is just basically an updated and jack-of-all trades coping saw.
I love it.
I'm really enjoying this updated version of a coping saw with some extra features. The handle has two sets of grips for a solid hold. There are seven different blades along with a glass cutter built into the nose of the saw. There are also two file blades. It is very easy to change the blades with the screw grip. You can also remove the bow entirely and install a straight blade. The instructions are pretty bad so don't look for any spring release anything. But they do correctly identify what each blade is for. This is a great saw kit for household repair jobs or hobbyists.
Super handy and very light weight handsaw with attachments. The whole case is smaller then a normal size tool box and I love it because it makes for easy storage, plus you are able to cut through just about anything with all the different attachments :)
II always go camping and we are always looking for fire wood. Well sometimes you need a saw. I mean who has time to remember to bring one! This is so small and compact I can put it in the camping gear and never leave it behind. It’s so easy to use and change out the parts. There are magnets on them. The directions are clear. Very impressed
Excellent handsaw, extremely versatile for my shop, easy to use and most important of all easy to switch between one accessory and the other, keeps the job going without switching from one tool to another and making a mess of tools. I was able to build an anchor as a wall piece for our bathroom.
Got this to use it for work.
Tried to use it in one my of my job by cutting off some pipes to fix some water leaks and it served well. The blades are very sharp and doesn't require me to exert much pressure on it. I am pleased that this tool can do so much, useful and handy to have.
Yes!!!! Okay, so I've got a sawzall but that thing is too bulky for my crafty, more detailed projects so I was looking for an affordable hand saw that I had more control over which is why I bought this. It fits perfectly in my hand and is light weight and nimble. There's a bunch of different blades but the one I used today was the wood cutting one. I love that you can literally switch it around to cut up, down, from the left or the right. This is really handy. Saws I've had in past make me feel ...
This is certainly a jewel of a tool! It's extremely versatile and has a wide variety of uses. It's great for light to medium carving of wood projects as well as the emery bits for shaving and carving. The larger cutting blade is especially handy cutting tree branches and also cutting branches into smaller pieces to be used as firewood. We have a lot of oak trees on our property and it actually makes for great firewood because it burns so clean. I have smaller hands and have had difficulties holding onto some of the larger saw handles I've owned in the past. The rubber grip of the saw handle is comfortable and provides a sturdy grip for maximum control of the blade. This one is DEFINITELY easier to maneuver especially when cutting at weird angles. I did not know this before I ordered (as I am human and miss things sometimes) but this genius saw can actually be used to cut glass as well. The possibilities are endless with this magic saw. I really love the nice snap closure case the saw came in. All the blades and accessories snap into predetermined grooves to keep everything in place and not sliding around. This is an excellent buy, and the price makes it a steal of a deal!
